Flintstone to Construct Light Industry Shops in Ethiopia

Flintstone Engineering, Ethiopia is to construct light industry shops furnished with all necessary machinery and equipment for sale.The shops are to be constructed for the manufacture of accessories, printing, leather, apparel and printing.

The shops will be built on land it has leased from the Addis Ababa City Administration.

Flintstone plans to construct 300 manufacturing shops in the first phase of the project with each unit ranging from 10m2 to 40 m2 explained Tsedeke Yihune, Founder and Chief Executive of Flintstone.

The designs for the buildings are expected to be finalized soon while the building permit is in progress he explained. Flinstone plans to launch construction by the end of the current financial year according to Tsedeke.

Flintstone commits to furnish the manufacturing shops with all equipment required for the production upon completion of the construction period. The industrial units will be sold at prices ranging from 300,000 birr to 950,000 birr with a minimum down payment of 30% required.

The company will accept offers from potential buyers based on the credit rating of the individual or the company interested in purchase.

A feasibility study conducted by the firm concluded that there is a potential market for 40,000 manufacturing units on the local market provided that the price, construction and furnishing is handled properly.

The project is financially feasible for Flintstone and its customers will recover the cost of purchasing the shops said Tsedeke.
