Expanding Capacity of Ethiopian Airport

The Ethiopian Airports Enterprise announced plans to expand the apron capacity of Bole International Airport. The project is expected to cost an estimated 1.1 million birr.

The first phase of this project will be finalized this December according to Wondim Teklu, Public Relations Head of the Ethiopian Airports Enterprise.

The first phase will equip the airport to land an additional ten more aircraft at a go he said.

The airports enterprise is involved in various construction projects to enhance the capacity of airports across the country. The projects that the enterprise is involved with total an estimated 1.1 billion birr explained Wondim.

The Ethiopian Airports Enterprise manages 17 airports across the country and is constructing its 18 in Kombolcha.
