Patrick Goodfellow has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Nyota Minerals in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as of January 2012. The company is also in the process of appointing a Chief Financial Officer.

Nyota Minerals’ negotiations for a Large Scale Mining License with the Ministry of Mines in Ethiopia could conclude in mid 2012 according to its quarterly update.

Nyota will be able to meet Ministry of Mines recently incorporated requirement for an ore reserve estimate as per international standards once its Definitive Feasibility Study is completed said the update.

The Definitive Feasibility Study is in good progress and will be completed soon claimed the report.

Resource drilling activity performed by Nyota for the last quarter concentrated on the main Tulu Kapi resources, the shallow saprolite resource and infill drilling at the primary resource.

The company restricted field work to drilling at Guji in addition to follow up mapping and data compilation for other prospects.

Nyota is waiting for the reverse circulation rig to complete the priority drilling program at Tulu Kapi before proceeding with the second phase of drilling in this area. Tulu Kapi has also been given priority for assay processing purposes to speed up the Definitive Feasibility Study.
