Technology Service Center to Be Launched in Ethiopia

Crescent Tech, a technology service center, is to inaugurate a Hewlett Packard service center to serve organizations and large networks in Ethiopia. The center will service international brand computers and was set up for a total capital 80 million US dollars.

Crescent is a gold partner of HP but is ready to provide services to other brands as well explained Nathnael Mamo, Accounts Manager with Crescent.

The service center will provide services including backup and recovery problems that Ethiopian organizations had to call in professionals from abroad for according to Nathnael.

Crescent Tech has a contract with Ethiopian Airlines and has supplied the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development with technological equipment valued at 88,000 US dollars according to Linda Koyonzo Marketing Manager of Crescent Tech.

The center hopes to provide services to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union after launching operations in Ethiopia said Koyonzo.

Crescent Tech offers a variety of products and IT solutions among its services to corporate organizations in Africa.

Crescent has its head quarters in Kenya and other offices in Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda.

Crescent established in 1998 has more than 150 resellers and an extensive distribution network across East Africa. It is a Microsoft Certified Solution provider and HP Gold Partner. Crescent is also distributor to ACER, APC, CISCO, DELL, and TOSHIBA said Koyonzo.
